Gwagen are marvellous things- if a bit bling now! Had three of them over the years, 280GE, 300GL, 500GE. The latter got hit up the back by a transit that pushed it into an artic, was still able to drive it home. Would have it now if it hadn't taken a year to get dome of the few parts that needed replacing. Our Cayenne is faster and more comfortable but....

supposedly these brand new models are a big step up on previous generations of G

im a poor farm supplier

... to be fair I've just modded my Amarok to 335bhp / 700+nm so really enjoying having too much fun in it surprising many a car

Yes, the G Wagen does what my Defender has been tasked with for the last 7 years. Does it all and more, delighted with it. The biggest change is the on road aspect which just can't be compared.
