They do seem to have gone in a similar direction! I have to say, I love the S trim and would have it relatively standard on the outside (keep the wheels, fit the trims) and sports purpose inside. There is something lovely about a sleeper, unassuming and low key but packing a bit more punch.

Just a comment please.
I have after 30 years made my 4" Durant drivers side mirror actually adjustable so I can use it at a glance.
Bit obvious, but it has made things so much better on the road.
Seems strange that the car never had a door mirror?

Ha ha, true. A horse through the windscreen would, though, I suspect.
Ridiculous as they are, horses do at least make an old Porsche look like a sensible (and cheap) mode of transport.

....With all due respect to you and Darren... are they not the fugliest mirrors this side of a JCB? Or am I thinking of something else?
I might add a deeply unoriginal but period correct Durant (with the same convex glass mod I used on the 69 car, with a view to actually using it to look behind me occasionally).

With that said I quite like the mirrorless look, perhaps because I know for a fact that in 1970 it didn't have side mirrors

....I'm with you, the 74 RS mirror isn't the prettiest (although possibly the coolest imo) and I'm using it purely out of correctness.....I was going to say it needs to be a Durant although without any at all would be kinda neat

.......for now I'm struggling to get DVLA to assign any kind of registration. Or indeed to answer the phone / email / letters......

....I've found the DVLA have become really quite efficient in recent years although I've had a number of dealings with them lately and due to circumstances they have huge backlogs.....I think it's a matter of crossing your fingers and waiting unfortunately!

Those seats....my god they are the dogs danglies.

I started with my car looking like this - stickers, no trims and a single talbot berlin mirror (which looked lovely but was utterly hopeless for its purpose).

Now, it looks like this. The repro flag mirrors do the job, but on reflection I should have just fitted one, not both.

Thanks both. So far it seems that the seats are comfy, too. Good result! Although I'm such a fashion victim that I'd probably keep them if they crippled me.

I really like yours as-is, especially the green bit on the front lid. For what it's worth (nothing!) if that were my car, the only changes I would make would be remove the sticker on the rear wing (slightly unbalances the look, in my view), and swap big flag for small flag mirrors.

Everyone to their own mix, I went from ex-hillclimb spec to semi classic.

Added hub centers to 7" rims, kept the S trims and made the Durant door mirror work on the driver's side. The passenger side is there when it was LHD and useless.

I couldn't drive mine round here without the side mirror, such a big blind spot without?

1973T with 3.2 engine can keep up with the rest.

Thanks Graham. S bumper trims with bare sills also a good option.
Since it's the zero work option, as well as being probably my favourite look, I think mine might be staying bare for a little while at least.

I don’t understand this blind spot thing ... on my lhd cars a quick look over the shoulder and I can see way more than a mirror would ever show
