Talbot Mirrors on a 356
Driving back from the rolling road yesterday as I joined motorways I could of used a rhd mirror. Plus my Spyder style LHD mirror is useless. I thought about getting some Talbot/904 style mirrors? Did Andy have some on this 356? I found some pictures and the mirrors appear to be mounted on the door not wing?

Hi Andy,
I have just started driving my 356C, and the mirror i have on the driver left side seems to work, however the need to place a mirror on the other side may be something I will have to look at possibly.
Do you find the talbot mirrors a better option for seeing the rear rather than using the durant mirror.

I only had a mirror on the driver's side & I'm afraid that the choice of mirror was based purely on the preferred 'style' of the Talbot Berlin - & the fact that I had a suitably used mirror already !

Re: Talbot Mirrors on a 356
I've owned cars with both Talbot style mirrors and Durant types and from a utility point of view, there is very little to choose between them.
Just go with what you like the look of, but if you want something more useful then the Durant, they are probably not the answer. I bought your Durant mirror Neil, to go on the right hand side of my 356 as it is a good match for the original '60s Durant I already have, but I'm not so sure how useful it might be!
As a motorcyclist, I'm quite used to waggling my head around when lane changing to see what is there, and old habits die hard!
