Sometimes you've got to go with your gut feeling, certainly speaking to Alan I knew that knows his stuff, proper engineer but spoke in laymans terms. He's done dozens of these repairs on alloy, magnesium etc, he reckoned my case was one of the more straightforward jobs- so only time will tell, but he hasn't had a failure yet. I believe his is one of only two companies in the UK doing this kind of work i.e. digital scanning, then cnc mill the part, then lazer weld in to place. Remarkable when you step back and think of the process... Here's hoping and only time will tell.........Darren65 wrote:Looks a wonderful result Robin, congrats![]()
Do they guarantee that the integrity of the case is sound?

EMP charged me £3.5k - in terms of adding value to the car it's a snip. I'm not even thinking about value I'm just wanting the car back to original spec. I might once the engine is done then swap out the aftermarket suspension upgrades and a put all back to original. I'm tempted to get FIA papers for it...neilbardsley wrote:Great work by emp. I guess it wasn't cheap
