OK Guys - So where do you all slot in to the Past Ownership

3777 MX Chassis number was 120 482 and as stated was a 1962 T6-B
Original Colour – Slate Grey with Red Interior

1st Owner - May 1962 - R. Chappell

Owner – April 1965 - Mr Perry

Owner – September 1968 - Damien John Marsh (He says that the previous owner (who ever that was ?) had, had it for 12 x years)


Even though itd long dead - it would be nice to lay it to rest

I’ve just realised that my car and this late departed car are only a few chassis numbers apart, mine being earlier! I wonder if they shared the factory floor? The boat trip across? The showroom?

Yes, Roy, those pictures of the interior are very misleading ...


I stored the Healey for a while waiting for the opportunity to start on its restoration but subsequently bought an XK120 Roadster project from Jeremy Broad (Guy's father) & he took the Healey as part of the deal.

Yes, Roy, over the next couple of years it was totally restored - albeit along the lines of a period '50s competition car - C-type engine spec, aero-screens in lieu of full windscreen, aluminium bucket seats etc.

Finished in BRG (including the wire wheels) - have only found the negatives at the moment but must have some actual photos somewhere ...

Essentially it ended up looking like this car (but LHD):

I'm conscious that I've already taken this thread way off topic but in brief:

- for a Jaguar of that era (very early '50s) it drove & handled very well.

The modifications - especially the uprated suspension including adjustable Konis F&R (the rears being converted from lever arms), conversion to XK150 front discs & uprated engine - combined with significant weight reduction, totally transformed the driving experience ...

Love this thread, missed it the first time around.

I must have bought some parts off the usual suspects for my car as it's also an early T6

Reminds me of looking at a 911S where the drivers' door must have been hanging off as the vendor wouldn't open it for the test drive as he said the hinges were dodgy and we both had to slide across the passengers' seat to drive the car! The only reason I didn't buy it - wish I had now!

Ah, those missed opportunities.

Looking at the state of the green car I presume it wouldn't be economical even today!
