Post by POR68 »

I see a sister car to mine is for sale in the UK. It was delivered in the same batch as mine (of only 44 B's sold here in Australia)

Your car and mine are almost siblings too, but mine drew the short straw and went to Scotland, rather than the sun down under!
The car you point out here does look truly gorgeous, especially in that colour combination, BUT the transposed Rev counter and Speedometer would drive me mad!

Ha! I hadn't noticed that. Siblings too. Mine was 'preserved' in its Adelaide home for over 50 years by the owner using a bitumen roofing product in the early 70's under the car and in the spaces. Sounds primitive I know but it worked well. He also never took the car out when it rained ....

I have maintained that tradition.

Weren’t they the South African dealers?

Mine is the 928th car imported by AFN, but then sold in Falkirk through the wonderfully named “Blackadder Motor Company Ltd”!
I think Steve’s car is an AFN one too.

Yes Simon. I was wondering if Steve's car was one of theirs. I picked up a 58 A for a friend here in Aus that was a Saker car. Love Blackadder motors!
