356A front wheelarch soundproofing

Post by RoscoP »

Hi Folks,
I'm just about to fit the front doors back on my 58A but I seem to remember that I had to scrape the tar based sound deadening pads off the aperture that the door swings into when you open it. I know that this sounds like a weird description, it's the inner wing where the radio speaker recess can be seen, does this panel have soundproof panels stuck to it?
Anyone confirm or otherwise as \I don't want to fit the doors and then find out that I have to fit sound deadening retrospectively into an awkward area.
Info appreciated!

Yes there is `Anti-Drum` material fitted in this area and impossible to fit after the doors are on.

Great, thanks Mike, now I can look forward to getting the tarry bits out from under my fingernails!
