A little later than the usual wheels in this thread but I picked this up for my collection recently. Dated Jan'90

I have just bought this lovely old Mota-Lita to go on the project "Sports Purpose" VW Beetle.
It was (allegedly!) taken off the Michelotti Jaguar D Type when Lynx bought it back to strip the D Type mechanicals out of it to go into one of their replicas. Fascinating story.

Some would say this isn't the most desirable of the wheels I have but it could quite possibly be the rarest.......
....the one year only 1974 thick grip
Early Carrera Sport Wheel in beautiful original condition.....
....as fitted to the 1974/75 Carrera 2.7 and, of course, the 74 3.0 RS
Cheers,

Nice find Darren.
I have to say I really like it, The 'Fatty' feels lovely and far more rigid than the one that was in the 930 I had.

I haven't posted on this thread for a while - & many wheels have come & gone in the meantime - but here are a couple of recent acquisitions for (possible) future use:
- first is a '66/'67 355mm flat Momo Indy:
- & second is a rare early '70's 380mm Abarth wheel (a model that has alluded me for many years):

This is primarily for Andy....
Any idea of make please?
it just says "made in Italy" on the back and there a couple of barely readable numbers which I think are 3-75.
it's 355mm wide.
came on my 914--and is staying there, just curious.
many thanks
Ian

I can see both images now Ian !
Looks like a Raid s/wheel but the ones I've had have all been flat rather than dished ...
I'll have a rummage back thro' my old sw images & see if I have a note of anything similar.
