I’m in the process this morning of getting the 356 airbourne to get the wheels off. I had a look underneath last night and apart from the jack points there does not seem to be a lot underneath apartment from tin. Could someone point me in the right direction where best to place the axle stands.
Kind Regards
Mark

Re: Axle stands
I usually try and position the crutch of the stands under the torsion bar housing tubes front and rear. Once it's all up in the air I always check to see all the feet of the axle stands are sitting level on the ground. Once you have had a car fall on you, didn't hurt, much, this procedure becomes second nature.

Re: Axle stands
Mark,
I also made a wooden box to place under the car just to be sure when I am using the axle stands.
It does not touch the floor once the stands are in place, just missing by mms.
It does however give you a safety net should the stand for any reason move.
I shall get a picture tomorrow and post.
