radio live feed?

I cant see a live wire under the dash for fitting a radio in my 66, there was just a big old hole butchered into the dash. Where would it have came from originally or where should i take it from?

I prefer to take the feed via the ignition (eg from the fuse box) so that the radio can't be accidentally left on when you leave the car.

yep thats exactly what I did. No chance of accidental flat battery then. I don't have power so can't rely on the back up of a c-tek or other.

There should be a red wire with a white tracer under the ads by the ignition switch. This wire is the factory feed to the radio, NOTE it is not fused and would suggest that you install an inline fuse.
