Nice guy Magnus, but it's all a bit passé now...
Re: Outlaw Event at Brands Hatch
I agree Keith, but it’s always nice to see a whole lot of outlaws together. If only they’d thought about it earlier I might have planned on going. But I’m off to the Beaulieu Autojumble instead.KS wrote:Nice guy Magnus, but it's all a bit passé now...

I will report back on what transpires there, maybe Outlaw is the wrong term these days but in my view there should be a bigger scene for personalised/less than perfect/modified/hot-rod Porsche's in the UK, something individual and different than the standard or restored early cars? Unless there is and it is so underground I've missed it?
Surely more tangible to me if they are driven hard, sound right & sit right, evokes a different conversation too
Only my opinion though
Cheers

I don't know of any event which excludes such cars - even the late lamented Classics at the Castle.

Late or lately KS?

Speaking to Fred at length the other night, I get the feeling that it's toast following the withdrawal of support from Porsche.Bootsy wrote:Late or lately KS?

Re: Outlaw Event at Brands Hatch
Yes, I agree James
Shame about Classics at the Castle though, was on my doorstep as well!
However there is another late season opportunity for DDK'ers to get together at the Radwinter Air-Cooled Gathering (it's not a car show) on 29th & 30th September in the Midlands that I am organising.
I will post all the details on this General section over this weekend but it is non-profit making event with socialising, driving, food, beer & music with additional opportunity for some track time at Bruntingthorpe and to raise some money for Macmillan for those that fancy it?
Love to see some of you there, all welcome, whatever sort of car you have or want to bring
Cheers
