Fuse holder thing.

Whilst tooling about with my fuse block I've only gone and snapped one of the tabs off. Fortunately it's the one for the reversing light but I'll be needing a replacement.

Where do I get a 356 A fuse holder thing like this ?

I'd probably look to buy one of these, if you can stand the £4 expense. At least then you ought to have a lot of spare ones for next time!

You may struggle to dismantle and remantle this bit. they are usually riveted in. A piece of 5a domestic fuse wire held between the posts under the terminal screws would be a satisfactory safe bodge pending other works.....

Hmm, good point. I wonder if dismantling carefully by drilling out any rivets you might find would work, then a spot of soldering to put it back together?

I'm just guessing as I haven't had that part of my car apart.

I'm sure that with a little application of skill then a fix could work out.

Those fuse holders can be a pain in that connections with the fuse can become intermittent so I believe Karman Konnection sell a replacement that takes modern fuses.

You're both right, they can be carefully drilled out and soldered back, and they can be a pain. The challenge is to source fuses with brass fusible links not aluminium. Despite being widely illustrated in ads they rarely materialise! They are much more reliable long term. There isn't really any need to change system. W
