Speedster conversion...
Excuse the poor pic (not mine, but stolen from a friend's FB page) - saw this Boxster-esque conversion in Belgium last week. Windscreen is laid back, hood is very Boxster/Speedster-like. Went for a drive and it actually felt more rigid than a regular 914 with the roof off, with no scuttle shake. I assume, therefore it had been well braced underneath. The main concern was how it was getting air to the engine for cooling. The owner spoke no English , but he pointed vaguely under the car, so I'm guessing he had ducts to feed cooling air. It was for sale at €15,000. Too much considering the general condition, but interesting all the same. The long US-spec nose/bumper actually improved the overall proportions for once.

Re: Speedster conversion...
I've seen photos of similar conversions before. This one looks better than those though, although not my cup of tea. Interesting point about the cooling - if I remember correctly the ones I've seen before had side vents. What was behind your head whilst in the car Keith?

Beach Boys racing in Venice Beach used to do conversions such as this with vents etc... see the Monterray 914...
