Hi
Just doing some odd jobs to improve the car and before my engine is returned from the engine builders. Just wondering what is the Porsche paint code for the grey colour that is applied to the discs brakes?
Also just wondering where you can buy the paint?
I am sure this question has been asked many times before but any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Adrian

I don't think that THAT question has ever been asked before. This is going to be quite a thread!

Hi
The question may have been asked in the 911 section and hopefully they look at this one as well.

Re: Brake Discs - What paint code is the Grey color
I doubt very much that there was a 'Porsche paint code for the grey colour that is applied to the discs brakes' - the brakes would have been bought in from an outside supplier (ATE) with the (token) grey paint already applied.
In the past, when I have painted the drums in the centre of the rear discs, I've just used 'Por15 Factory Manifold Gray' (heatproof) paint (although it's glossier than the original finish) - but due the the heat that the discs are subjected to nothing will last very long anyway !

Hi Andy
Many hanks for your help and advice which is much appreciated. I will try the Grey paint as suggested and see how long it stays on.
