it was only meant to be down for a couple of days, but who knows.
I think Thomas has kidnapped it as the post 74 forum.

"The one big change on this new software is a the change from separate login and display names to one single name used for everything. We had to pick one to keep and apply across the board. I picked display names, so now you log in with your display name. Log in name is gone. "
