Group plans & chat for Classic LeMans 2016
I don't mind the occasional shower it makes the racing way more 'interesting'.
It's constant rain that's the pisser
25/26 deg is spot on!

I imagine the track laps are all earlier due to the group C race that's happening before the main event

Re: Group plans & chat for Classic LeMans 2016
I've just found out something you all probably realised a long time ago -
filling a 911 with full cage, fixed FIA seats, strut brace, plumber fire extinguishers up front and inside, and extra large tank - basically leaves f-all space for much else.
Considering changing the tank back to a std one this wknd before I go so Sarah can bring her handbag.
We will however have colour co-ordinated intercom headphones so nothing else matters in my book
God, I love that 914 with its voluminous luggage space !!
(come back all is forgiven)
Will bring the DDk banners below that we can stick somewhere around the communal area. Might make a useful windbreak depending on the weather
If anyone can take them at the Hull ferry then I'm Sarah will appreciate it as they'll be in the footwell along with her luggage.
Looking forward to meeting up with everyone and staring knowingly at some engine bays like it's something we've all never seen before.

Re: Group plans & chat for Classic LeMans 2016
Ha!
Yes, this Belgian is coming, with Accroutements.
Ferry booked (Dover-Dunkirk) thursday morning, returning sunday night.
I hope to equip my 911 with its freshly refurbished fuchs wednesday night, but that is assuming that
1/ I get it out of storage
2/ it passes an MOT
3/ I have the tiny oil leak on the oil tank brazed
4/ perhaps have the front calipers/front discs and pads changed, with some fresh brake fluid
5/ performance is returned by using Mike B's parameters: it drives as a bag of spanners
6/ I have a spare CDI box but I need to buy some spare coils. Just have this feeling....
7/ Following Ian 2.2S driving: hoping that the 3rd gear is usable
(only kidding)
If not, I'll be in the 924S. Assuming that the power steering rack is not leaking and returned in time as it has been send back 3 (THREE!!!) times to some incompetent subcontractor at GSF. It only needed new sills, and the whole of the headgasket, top end, new radiator and and and for the MOT.
My DDK badge has also arrived, so thank you Paul. (ferryman).
James, are you doing a spreadsheet/ doc with contact numbers? I have most of the numbers of people I know, -I think-, and I blocked Jason's
Kissy kissy,
Bert

The new Le Mans Classic app seems to be a useful thing to have ... even if its just so you can find ddk parking
It does have the full list of competitors too
