Porsches on the Prom - Llandudno - 22nd May, 2016.

Post by Arfor Jones »

All Porsches welcome on the prom from +/- 9.30 am to +/- 4.00 pm

Access to the prom is via the entrance opposite St George's Hotel. No club membership required.
Request from the local council: owners of vehicles which might misbehave are asked to bring a drip tray.....

Afterwards, a ride around the Great Orme along the Marine Drive is very worthwhile.

Also there will be a Track Day at the Anglesey Circuit on Saturday 21st May, 2016.
To enter, contact Steve Kevlin on 01608 652917. Again, club membership is not required.

Any DDKers planning to take up the offer of free parking on the promenade in Llandudno on Sunday 22nd?

The vehicle must be a Porsche though!

Sounds like a great event, shame it wasn't a week later. Perhaps next time.

Have fun.

Good news Graham.

By coming in the Boxster, we'll be able to have a dekko at your recent new acquisition! :)

And yoda, sorry you can't make it, but yes there'll be a next time...

Looking forward to it Arfor, great location and setting, and a good drive up there from me!

Might even get worse than the usual 34 mpg....but the Boss is with me. :blackeye:

Hi Arfor,
weather looking OK for Sunday so Sarah and I plan to come as things stand. Sadly in a 996 Turbo Cab rather than anything more historic.

Hello Andrew,

I don't think we have ever met, so it will be nice to put a face to a name! I shall be one of the "traffic cops" on the prom, so I'll keep an eye open for your car.

Refreshments will be available at the St George's Hotel; OPC Chester will be bringing some new cars for display, and PCGB's 356 is expected to be there too.

As you say, the weather report is mildly optimistic! :)

A billion Porsches of all denominations on the sea front today, quite a sight ESP I the sun that arrived this afternoon.

Thanks to Arfor and the Team for organising it all.

Got 37 mpg in the run up to Wales in the Boxster. :)

Traffic, traffic and a lot of rain.
Got buzzzzzed by 2 modern 911s on the way, but most were just ambling along, honest.

Speed vans in villages, but hit 70 in places out of town.

This car is very relaxing and will pull from 28 mph in 6th. No need to change gears.

It will be worse tomorrow on the A5 run home, Lorries and more of them.

38/39 on the cards!

Fantastic turnout despite the morning rain. Had a chat to a guy about his Chartreuse RS, he only bought it a few months ago, it looked great, if a little too low, but will be sorted soon.

Tricky to photo the cars but there was a drone in the air.

Sorry Gary, but the run there was not very eventful...got to get a best somewhere. :)

The A5 is a bit boring.
