Yes very cool indeed but I heard someone removed one of the display cars early and ruined it. I think it was the early silver 911 with the Tan interior. ;)

I had a great time too.. I wish I hadn't left my camera at home. At least these pictures are here to remind me of the exceptionally cool cars.

The highlight of my day was being driven by Mike in his beutiful RS clone, which is correct down to the wheel arch lips. Mike does not hang around and scared the life out of a Targa driver on the Brands Hatch track who just jumped out of the way to allow full RS attack! As a driver myself I was really impressed with Mike's lines and the points he was hitting the apexes. Awesome. Simply awesome!
Mike even let me have a go in his car around the register parking ground. I have to say his car is so smooth and tight. Its the best set up 911 I have ever driven. A real benchmark for my own project car.

The 904 did it for me . . .

Some pretty cool cars there to be seen and heard (where's Steve Wright . . . man that was noisy).

Thanks to eveyone that came on the register dipslay . . . Mike Moore's RS recreation winning most favorite on Sunday and John Styles 'light red' E on Monday.

All in all a success . . . next year I feel the event will be more central.

Phil - thanks for organising the early 911 register. great to have somewhere to park up and talk to like minded enthusiasts.

I'm thinking of putting a supply of ear protectors in the car so whenever i turn up at shows now i can hand them out before i fire up the car. how anyone could drive an ST for hours on end as they did in the early '70's is beyond me. My ears were ringing by the time I got home!

Having said that it also took about 4 hours to wipe the grin from my face - damn the car is fun now  :)

I'll post some pics of the engine and details on the ST build up later this week in another thread.

Cheers,
Steve

We had a great weekend. It was good to catch up with Phil and Viv. Phil provided some great evening entertainment with his quickdraw Maglite and Laser display!

Keith Sueme span the Baboon in spectacular fashion right in front of his admiring fans. Well done Keith it was very brave carrying all that speed!

Hope to see everyone soon.
