An advance Saturday ticket is £62.....god knows what it will be on the day!!

Becoming very expensive this event if you just want to see some racing and have a nose around the paddock...

Been to the last few and every time I vowed not to go again . To expensive for what it is and Silverstone isn't the best in my opinion for spectating . I camped at the circuit last time and from memory that cost me £140 for 2 days including entrance ticket .

I've always enjoyed the classic event - primarily for the ability to walk around the pits. It is a lot more expensive than the Donington historic event but provided you book early enough with one of the clubs I don't think it's prohibitively expensive.

I actually quite enjoy it and think it is great value if you buy early - tickets were discounted and buy 1 get 1 free before the cut off date (April??). The site is large so never feels crowded and there is plenty to do besides watching the racing in terms of pit garages, stands, displays and stuff for kids.

I quite like it.

Thats all fine if you know you will be able to go 4-5 months in advance.

If you don't then this is very expensive now....and with no on the day tickets quite bizarre.

This is the first year for quite a few I won't be on holiday while it's on, but it's too expensive now to take the kids for the day.

Will be taking them to Santa Pod this weekend instead....

Going to the Pod this Sat for my annual drag racing input, just wonderful. Praying for sun!

Going to Silverstone on the Saturday into the PCGB centre arena where the car won't get nicked.

Can't miss the Classic, though always moan about the cost (and cost being there) but just so good. We got a good deal about 6 weeks ago via PCGB. Lots of trade stands to re-stock on car care products.

Wiscombe hill climb the day after Silverstone to see the place with a view to running it next year and to see Jonathan tear the tarmac up and Andy Hassad chase him, also will see Andy's car for the first time.

I'm going to Silverstone on the Friday.
Does anyone know how I can blag an in-field parking pass at this late date?
I'm guessing not :(
