Might be in the Range Rover .

:( :( :(

Well if James is bringing the 964 and you're bringing the range rover and Ian2.2s might be struggling too I'm taking the SLK!
It's in bits now , Suspect chain/tensioner or deeper in the valve train . Cars making power ok but a nasty rattle at about 3k under light load . :(
Will know more tomorrow . Going to change the chains etc to see if that cures it but I'm not hopeful .

Also got a bit of impact damage on the exhaust , can't think how that happened

I might have a word with a certain Geordie purveyor of quality Porsches about a loaner for the weekend :?

Chain tensioners not a big deal if you're just replacing them.

Ian's got the same but he's been rebuilding his

I replaced my front discs pads and bearings to cure an annoying whine at low speed. it's still there! Doing the rear discs and pads this week-end
The simple things you see are all complicated
I look pretty young but I'm just backdated yeah

Good luck Russ. Hopefully it is something easily fixable.
I rebuilt second tensioner last night. Just need to screw everything back together, and get some oil flushed through it.
But let's not tell rude boy, then we can call him hairdresser alll weekend

I'll be in the Porsche, already prepared for the trip in my usual way having bought some oil! Might even treat the car to a wash this weekend too!

Hope you all get your cars sorted and on the road.

I could take a chance and just drive it there and take it easy , probably would if we where just in the UK but I don't know if it's a good idea to breakdown in the arse end of nowhere in Belgium .
Anyone got a good 993 motor for sale I could have tomorrow ?

Sounds though you've all got issues!

Car ones I mean - I know you've all got mental issues.

Bummer - hope you're all able to get something sorted.

Maybe go easy on the line up pics hey - sounds like they'll look like the local Waitrose car park.
