Steering wheel boss fitting for early 911s

Dear DDK,

I am looking at a momo wheel on the internet that was fitted to a 3.2 carrera of '80s vintage. Would that boss fit my 1973 911 or is the boss size / fitting different.

It's different I'm afraid - the hub/boss you need is 0230 (or C230) which fits:

356B/C & 911/912 models up to 07/74

The one for a 3.2 would be 0231 (or C231) which fits all:

911 models 08/74 - 89
