I have been told the 69 912's rear screen is a bit of a pig when it comes to removing and refitting due to the built in heating element
Any advice?

The heated screen should be no more difficult to fit as long as you are not removing or changing the seal. Feeding the wires along the seal is not easy.

The screen is coming out because the rubber has shrunk and perished and needs replacing
