Project Binky - you need to see this
I found this project through a link on here and I've followed it ever since
It's a project by 2 engineering enthusiasts - they are fitting a full Toyota celica drivetrain into a standard classic mini shell - without any external modifications.
The level of engineering ingenuity they show is fantastic. They are also fairly funny in places - well I enjoy their humour anyway
Their latest video has come out - this is episode 7
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r0wMIF6EPfY
In it they come up with clever solution to cooling the engine but the manage to neatly fit central locking and electric windows into mini doors when all the various components work differently.
If that whets your appetite go back to episode 1 and see what they've come through to get to this stage - it's going to be a pretty amazing car when it's finished
Cheers

No chance - still working on the last one. They've done some amazing fabrication though as well as the occasional knob joke

Amazing fab skills with the bare minimum of fancy tools. Can't help thinking, they could shorten the labour hrs with a plasma cutter & some other bits of kit.

Have you watched all 7 episodes?
If so I think it's normally a few months between episodes - I'm presuming they have day jobs as well. Episode 7 has only just come out last week

It is terrific. A great ad for their company. I think I might have linked it, having seen it on the PH forum when I had a classic mini.

This is still going and I've just watch episode 10. Fantastic work and great fun to boot. If you haven't watch this it is well worth a look.
