Reassembly order

Hi All
Hows things?
I have a 67 912 that is coming to the tail end of the body restoration, the car should be coming back to me with all panels on and doors built up with glass in it. Now the car was blasted first so has gone down to literally a shell. I was wondering if there was a rebuild order that anyone would recomend? i was thinking of just starting at the bottom and working my way up, Does this sound about right? Just looking to learn from anyone thats done it before.

Inside out for me usually... with any fresh upholstery going in last of all though for protection.

My learning to date would be:

1. Everything in the centre tunnel while you can access both ends
2. F&R suspension
3. Brake pipes
4. Dash, switches, instruments and wiring as far as you can go
5. Rest of under bonnet stuff - heaters, fuel tank etc
6. Rest of engine bay stuff, oil tank, esp engine compartment seal
7. Lights and test electrics as far as you can
8. Headliner
9. Glass and door hardware and trim
10. Engine
11. Check rest of electrics

Start car and ensure all is ok

12. Interior

Then drive and enjoy!

Thanks guys that's great help. I will start with the loom and cables and the just a sprinkle of heavy swearing and throwing tools.
Mick it seems so easy when listed like that, I foresee a fair few problems . That's the fun.
I am having a spread bet with my dad about how many parts I will have left over at the end, I rekon a dozen he says 100.

we are going down the same road, I hope you are having a better time of it than me, it seems that I bought a Friday car, if its of any help, test each item works as best you can before moving on, stay as calm as possible, and pray !!.

Gary makes a really good point about checking EVERYTHING before you install - even things that you know worked when you took them out. Clean every spade connection with fine sandpaper or one of those fibreglass contact cleaning pens, and check wire continuity with a multimeter. Make sure every earth point is clean and again check resistance with a multi.

What is easy to check and access now will be a bu**er later on.
