I have some 2.0 (or they maybe 2.2 I need to check the rod bolts) S rods at home, if that helps.

MSA rules for Historic Rallying are not as difficult as FIA rules.
I believe that FIA rules only permit homologated components to be fitted to rally cars.
In the UK Historic (pre-68) and Post Historic (Pre 75) allow "period" modifications regardless of hmologation.
Several books document the use of titanium rods in the correct period.

The 911R used titanium rods but I don't think these were homologated since, due to the low number of cars produced (4 prototypes + 20 'production' models), the cars had to run in the prototype class.

I agree that the 911R wasn't homolgated but for MSA rules in UK it isn't too important as I think a 911R was used on the San Remo Rally in 1967 and this is good enough to comply with UK Regs.
Our car isn't eligible for FIA events as it is a 1966 car and we are just fitting Webers to replace the Solexes.
