Fair enough. If that's who you want as friends and colleagues then that's your choice I guess. Please ask them to where a bright pink Tshirt on the day though so if I do come I can avoid them at all costs.UXB12 wrote:Jason, I do not need to make anyone apologise, they are their own person. I think I made it quite clear in my response what we believe is the way forward and hope to see everyone there, replica or not!.

Re: Classics at the Castle NOT WELCOME!
I read it this way : ( this is for the show display , not the general admission parking )
they basically want 'Porsche' chassis numbered vehicles
they don't want VW chassis / custom chassis based vehicles
so basically all modified pre-74 Porsches , eg rsr reps etc are fine
they don't want glass speedster replicas etc
wether you agree with this is a different matter

Maybe this year we would all turn up on mass and have some type of tee shirt printed?

The writer on that occasion at least put his name to it, a chap called Fred Hampton I seem to recall.

Re: Classics at the Castle NOT WELCOME!
Just read this all. What a shameful initial reply, and clearly designed to be dismissive at the very least. It's good that a response has come on since, and of course it's not possible to please all the people all the time, but at least there has been some effort to right things I guess. But blimey - whoever wrote that reply must have known it was going to upset people and really should be put on some different duties next time - "communications" is clearly not their strength
It looks like a very good line up at Hedingham this year, and well done to those involved in arranging that - as they say, their time is given for free, and I think the event is very good value. I certainly hope to be there. I'll be bringing the Defender this year and will hope for pride of place
(only kidding!!)
