sunroof twang help!!

Post by bahama68 »

Something made a loud twang when I was shutting my sunroof at the weekend.

I pulled back the headliner and one of the hinged pieces that's attached to the cable, and pushes the rear corner of the sunroof up when it's shut, has sheared off and fallen back into the roof. All that's left is a black plastic piece still attached to the runner.

There's a sunroof repair guide in 101 projects but none of the pictures look anything like mine. Anyone got any suggestions? I've attached some pics below.

This is the right unbroken side...

And the left...

John,

I am certain the parts I have would fit.
I will take a piccie this weekend and send it to you.

My contact mail is andy.haas@ukaea.org.uk. Mail me there and I'll send the piccie direct next week. I also have all the other sunroof parts if your wind deflectors etc aren't perfect.
