anyone have any idea how long it takes to make an exhaust or to specifically rework a silencer (make it quieter)?

I'm off to see them tonight to see why my bill is so high..!

I had a complete stainless exhaust made by longlife. It was a made to measure custom job. It took about 6 hours. the guy made everything from scratch including the silencer

Paul,
I can't find the note which came with my loom, which is a real pain, although I haven't had a problem. Might be worth a call to pilgrim?

I phoned Turbo Thomas with dimensions for a custom exhaust in stainless and I had it the following week. Good service, good price.

car is booked back in for retest next tuesday.

Going into hospital first to sell a kidney and a lung to cover costs....

Hopefully this time....

Once I get it back I'll sort the fog and reverse switches.

Good luck with it this time ...this saga would have put of most people from carrying on I would never consider buying anything other than a turnkey car could never cope with the stress.
