Kev progress

Post by bonerp »

Well he's getting there - all the electrics work properly and I am going to attempt to start the heart this week - when I remember to chuck the fuel containers in the car.

The wiring under the dash is quite frankly hideous and I am not confident about many of the connections.

Also I'd like to get some other areas checked out before the IVA test so I have asked Arden Automotive to quote me on completing the build and ensuring quality/improving where possible. They will throw on the door cards and fit seats/belts etc and check the car over prior to them submitting for IVA.

Any feedback on these guys would be useful. I hear they have a good reputation.

Following IVA I'd like to get it into Gary for the work on interior replacement, and roof fitting.

Just want to say thanks to you guys for your help and steering me along the right path. Couldn't have done it whilst remaining (reasonably) sane, without you.

I think the overall build is pretty good quality and I look forward to bringing Kev to a show in the summer...

James, good luck with your build - just shout if you need anything - also if you need IVA parts (mirrors/steering wheel/maybe seats etc etc) nearer your completion time.

Make sure you get a written quote on any work they are going to do. I had a mate who had issues with a respray company

can't believe you got this far to pass it over for someone else to finish off. The Iva isn't that bad to get through, been and done it, and will walk you through it... Come on fella you've got this far....

its almost done but i have questioned a few bits and thats what I'd like them to check/improve.

Went to fit mirrors tonight but can't find the buggers! grrr

got 2 weeks to get more done so will probably be able to finish most of it and keep the QA costs down.
