My horn works by the way...

Can you reverse the wiring to switch? depends where the switch is in the circuit i guess?

By the way Paul, if you buy an electrical relay as used on LED equipped cars it will flash at the right rate. It doesn't solve the problem of why it thinks there is a fault, but it masks it if all else fails.

I wired mine this way,

Run a switched live from fusebox to the brake fluid reservoir switch, then out of the switch to the test switch in the dash then to an earth. This circuit test it from the reservoir when fluid runs low.

Then run a separate switched live direct to the test switch in the dash then earth it. This basically checks to see if the switch and bulb are working.

Sounds like youve got a couple of wires mixed up. Here's the headlight relay connection and headlight switch;

H/flasher

30 power supply, not ignition switch
56 to the light switch
56a Main beam
56b. Dipped beam
S. Main beam flash/ dip switch

Lightswitch

56. Power to dip beam
58. Side lights
58b. Dash lights
30. Power to side lights
X. Link wire from 30. You will need to loop this from the two X=30

Thanks for the pin info, checked it again and it is wired correctly. Got a new relay, if that fails I am stumped, but will have to pull the loom apart to check every wire.

On a separate note one of the factory crimped earth terminals came off in my hand last night, so went through and replaced them all. Don't want to get ddk in trouble, but I wouldn't recommend anyone uses this loom.

Hi James,
More properly a case of not being familiar with it. Like anything if you wired up pilgrims everyday it would all make sense. Did you put the link wire in?? X to 30 on the light switch??

Cheers Rich, it was more the terminals coming off in my hand that bothered me.

Anyway, the pilgrim loom has a dedicated wire from the fusebox to supply power to terminal x so not that unfortunately. Will unwrap the loom and trace each wire from the fusebox, something has to be wrong somewhere.

James before you start stripping

put a meter on the terminals to the light switch and see how many power supplys you have?? and the same with the relay. Without anything switched on ie ignition as they work without the ingnition being on.

I get power on the light switch, power to 30 and X. And on the relay power to 30 and S.

ok so i have everything wired up.

Slight problem with brake lights/warning light. I have the reservoir switch going to a light on dash, and a dash momentary switch to test the same light. I also have the brake failure switch on the master cylinder going to same light.

So I press the switch and the reservoir switch and all works ok and the light comes on.....but so do my brake lights!

Anyway I can stop this, or would I be better just wiring the brake failure switch to another light to overcome the issue? Or does it even matter for IVA?!

Don't really think that the brake lights come on when you test it will be a problem.

I wired mine just as a low brake fluid test switch. That could be tested under the bonnet aswell as from inside the car. It passed this way.
