Allgaier/Porsche-Diesel A111 pictures.

Post by vwgillybilly »

Ok, so I've managed to get some pictures of the Allgaier - Porsche sorted and spent ten minutes working out how to post them!

See what you think?

Wow, Bargain of the decade I think!

So much like a 108 too - but the hydraulic pipes run on the other side.

Let me know if you ever want to take a profit...

Thanks Chris, that's reassuring!

We have no intention to sell the tractor but if in the unlikely event it has to go I will let you know.

I was actually hoping I could pick your brains on a few bits and bobs please if that is ok? Notably about charging issues and doing some bits and bobs with the engine.

As for the similarities with your 108 that would be because it is actually a Porsche-Diesel produced tractor and is essentially the same as a Porsche-Diesel P111, see below;

http://www.europe-machinery.com/used/al ... -a111.html

I have also seen these badged up as a 'Porsche-Diesel Junior 4' see below;

http://www.europe-machinery.com/used/al ... ior-4.html#

The main differences I can see between the long-bonnet A111 and P111/Junior 4 is the front grille and the swage on the A111's bonnet seems slightly more pronounced.

It does seem difficult to find two tractors the same though!

Regards.

Hi Gill,

Let me know your questions and I will attempt to answer. I have a factory Junior workshop manual and also a manual on cd via John Hearn.

Your dynamo has an arm at the rear which can cause problems if you try an remove without correct positioning.

Thanks Ian, it sounds as though yours will look much better when it's finished!

Chris thanks for that, questions will probably come thick & fast when I've had more chance to investigate. I also have the CD manual for the A111 & 108 but there's nothing like talking to someone in he same boat! For now though I was wondering what the state of play was with your hydraulics?

As for now, I am searching for a suitable battery rather than the rubbish 1.0 Polo one it came with, also a flat tyre has stopped play so I've taken off the offending front wheel and my Dad is off to have it fixed tomorrow hopefully.

Cheers.

Gill.
