PCGB in Cheap Tat Shocker

I've just got back from Bug Jam, the new wave VW event at Santa Pod. You know the sort of thing 18,000 people, rave tents, having it large etc.

There's always a load of non car related trade stands and cheap pikey tat for sale but imagine my suprise when I came across this trade stand!

Look at the picture carefully and what looks like your average cheap camping, chav, sticker, dodgy illustrations average crap kinda stall actually has a very interesting story.



In this second picture at the rear of said stand, MonkeyBoy from DDk expresses his displeasure at the cheapness of it all



Is the new race truck to be replaced with this and trawled round some dodgy festivals to help raise club funds

As a member of PCGB I find this discovery outrageous. If the person owning this vehicle is also a member then I think his/her membership should be cancelled. The sort of wares on offer are not consistent with the quality items available from PCGB. It's just not cricket...I'm going to write to my MP....

Actually not a bad idea. I might stick a couple of stickers on my wideboy burberry coloured Escort Van and then charge twice as much down the boot sale. Saaawted

I'm guessing they've sold the trailer although why not take the logos off?

I probably will post it 2morrow on the PCGB forum, its not at all good for the brand and the marque you know, whatever next? Maybe a hardcore tent at Brand Hatch

Its not really a row, just a bit of fun with some serious replies e.g.


This is our old trailer that was sold some time ago. The deal required the new owner to remove our logo before use. This has obviously not been done and I would suggest to the Borad of Directors that action is taken to enforce this requiorement.

This is a clear case of breach of contract, passing off, and possibly registered trade mark infringement (if PCGB has registered its trade mark rights as it ought).

PCGB need to take urgent action, supported by either suitably experienced solicitors or a trade mark attorney. The latter can be located via the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and/or the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys - many patent attorneys & firms also handle a wide range of trade mark disputes.
