Aren't the old transporters just soooo much cooler than what you get today - love the Lancia one. Mind you, no pics of the 300SL based MB transporter!

The MB transporter is such a fantastic looking vehicle that I bought the CMC model. Looking at it makes you realise how much of its design was way ahead of its time. Just the rear window with its extreme compound curves must have been an engineering feat in itself back then. You can't help but notice more little details everytime you look at it. I can't believe Mercedes scrapped the original One!

that mercedes transporter is amazing; rumoured to have a ridiculous (for the time) top speed too I think?..
the 300SLR is just a work of art too 8)

a lot of the parts on the MB transporter came from the Ponton saloon of the time.

Ecurie Ecosse transporter lovely thing too...
