Hello i'm replacing my tachometer with a new one how do you take it out :!:
2010 mini mayfair cooper s
1999 mini cooper works s

It pulls out towards the steering wheel. It is held in just by the rubber surround

Unless it is a '69 in which case it has a metal strap across the back, held in place with knurled nuts.

Sometimes they are quite tight, just give it a twist and hey presto !!

The clock in my old S, used to pop out on its own if you booted it, almost worked like a rev limiter !!!
