Tools : Z Block for dial gauge ?

Post by declang »

Hi folks,
I've decided (again) to have a go at the CMA procedure for my 2.7 mfi.

I need to get hold of a Z-block & dial gauge to measure the cams as I don't know for sure what cams are in there. (I'm hoping S as the mfi pump is correct for the 2.7)

I can find loads of dial gauges, but the only place I've found the z-block is on pelican. Is there a source in UK for these, or just buy from pelican ?

Thanks,
Declan

Hi Declang,

I made mine from a bit of scrap ally. It was 'designed' around a particular dial gauge I borrowed from work, but should work with most others as well as long as the shaft diameters are similar.

If it's any use you are welcome to borrow it. pm your address if you want to give it a go.

Thanks for the offer Gary.

I don't have a gauge either, so might just get the gauge & the holder from pelican unless I can find one closer to home.

Every time i look at pelican I end up with a huge shopping list !

Cheers,
