1966 912 *SOLD*

Post by NSK »

Hello all,

I'm sadly putting my '66 912 up for sale, I bought the car in May '05 and have had some fabulous times in it as a regular local driver plus a few extended trips to the south of France and the Isle of Mull. Unfortunately my current financial situation means something has to go and the 12 is in the firing line.

The car is the four speed model and Albert Blue in colour though the original paint code is 6604 which I think is Light Ivory. Some pictures below, I’ll add engine compartment and interior in the next day or so.

Car drives strong and has a solid body. Interior is a bit on the tatty side in places but nothing fundamentally wrong.

When I first purchased the car it had an engine rebuild which is fully documented and photographed. Since then it has driven reliably and I have spent time improving mostly cosmetic bits and pieces such as new front indicator units, rear view swan neck mirror etc.

In terms of history prior to my ownership I don’t have a great deal of detail but I do have numerous receipts from the likes of Transend, and Karmann Konnection belonging to previous owners and dating back to 1999 when I believe the car was imported. The first UK registration date on the V5 is October 2001. The only information pre 1999 is the original service book issued with the car in February ’66.

MOT’d until 24th July ’08.

In summary I would say it’s by no means a concours winner but a good solid 912 that can give you a lot of fun!

I’m looking for 9K, happy to answer any questions, PM me or call on 07951 943 434.
