Pics of my '72 2.4T/E - now with working pictures!!

Here are a couple of pics of my 2.4T. It's a California car, with MFI. Ive owned it for about 10 days and I love it! It doesn't have much in the way of whistles & bells, but it does have air conditioning.... that works My mate Paul noticed that the rims are different front to rear. What's the deal with that then? It's Bahia Red - or at least most of it is! It's mostly pretty sound, but with a few things that want doing soon, and plenty to go at in the long term, to improve it. Best bit is, it has 12 months MOT & a full service, so I can get on & drive it!

Jon - both wheels are 6x15" Fuchs but:

- fronts are later 'flat sixes' (correct for your car)

- rears are earlier 'deep sixes' (more sought after style)

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess it's not standard, but I quite like the look, so I'm not about to rush to do something about it. Is the offset the same for both types? The Avon site suggests that 205/60's are ok on a 6" rim, and it has a fairly chunky look about it (for a narrow bodied car), but the steering's a bit heavy at parking speeds with the 350mm wheel it has fitted. One of those 365mm Momo wheels would be just the very thing...
Now if I could only figure out why the pictures aren't displaying

Jon - yes, the offset is the same on both styles of 6x15" Fuchs.

I'll see if I can get hold of a few more of those steering wheels - will probably take a couple of weeks though.

I hadn't driven ny car since Friday, but had the chance to have a little local nip around in it earlier - then it rained & it got wet! I also left the window open whilst chatting to mates & It got wet on the inside too - D'oh! Still, I've figured out how to work the heater / demist, and I'm pleased to say that despite heat exchangers Like Rab Nesbitt's vest, they work pretty well!
