Newbie with a Porsche Van fetish...

Post by seamonsta »

Hi - cool site peeps!
Been a lurking a few times, but not being a genuine article Porsche owner (yet!) has kinda put me off registering til now. Why now? Well, sod the shyness - I'm kinda whoring the idea of you coming to visit our Show while you're up in Scotland en masse (I posted in the appropriate events thread too). http://www.volksfling.co.uk/

Anyhoo, I'm a Splitty owner - 16 years with Eva, and 4 years with a 1302S Bug (Operation B). The closest I ever got to having a Porsche in the family was when Dad looked at buying a used 356C in 1968 but having another baby sister come along around then knackered that!
Jump forward 30 years, and gradually Eva has acquired a BAS Porsche fan kit for the 1966cc flat-four, 924 front seats, 944 discs brakes, hubs & trailing arms, and 16" Fuchs alloys.
Two long term goals would be to own:
a. an early 911 or Speedster
b. a Porsche powered Splitty like that famous black one on you-tube that thrashes a Beemer & Aston on the Spa circuit!

Enough for now. Thanks for reading my drivel...

Welcome to the site.
You'll find that most of the people here started their interest in early Porsches with aircooled VWs and still have an interest in both types of vehicle.
Cool looking cars.
