What Brendan said ! Drive it and don’t worry. While it works, just enjoy it. Do more events with the rest of the DDK crowd, I’m sure someone will tell you if the smoke is a problem or not.

Re: Front Windscreen Trim
I have some spare ones for free collection in Leicester area. My screen fitter refused to fit 2nd hand ones and so I bought new for an easy life.
They bend easily and so collecting IS required !

Re: Eeee Geee
What are the batteries ? My project ideas always hit a stumbling block due to the battery cost.
I’m loving this, if you haven’t guessed. I will convert something one day, but for now I watch with interest. zero Ev and ECC are great.

Re: 73T clock stopped. Solution?
I removed the guts from my clock and fitted a quartz replacement movement like a kitchen clock. I wired the 12v feed via a high value resistor ( 10M ohms perhaps) and made no attempt to drop the voltage to 1.5V. I made the 911 hands fit and it just works and has done for years.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
The dark metallic green car does normally run a BMW bike engine, as quite a few modified cars do now.
Did he make it to the main display on the Sunday ? Never a bad turn out for a little car that you never see any more [emoji848][emoji41]

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
It has seat belts now ( harness) .
Twin 40’s mapped ignition, lowered. All body work done and painted by himself on a shell dragged out of a field. Probably just under 100 bhp and ~600 kg or a bit less. Just done his 1st track laps and now keen to do more. Not too much choice in Cornwall I guess.

Just don’t lick the orange wires. That’s our motto for anything EV we do at work :) Thanks Gary, will bear that in mind  Here's the unsuspecting victim: https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/58c0f610d482e969f2bf11d6/1658737746996-WECFZB4YEBV4AEF2SBMF/IMG_5005.jpeg?format=640w Splendid ...
