Re: 911T on ebay
Looked at this car on Sunday and although it looks fairly unmolested it hasn't been used for a long time and is ROTTEN. The guy selling was actually looking for seven thousand and was a bit concerned that the price was creeping too high - I don't think he's been particularly misleading with his desc...

Re: This might be interesting to watch
Wow - price has started to move seriously upwards and these things generally start to get a bit crazy towards the end of the auction. If you're bidding I hope you've seen the car. I looked at this Sunday as it's only 20 minutes away and although good in the sense that it doesn't seem to have been me...

Re: VIN help
Looked at this car today - as you'd probably expect needs serious work and not for the faint hearted
Good luck if you're bidding.

Excellent road trip - would love to do something similar one day. The new car looks great too and shot in some perfect settings

Re: 66 LHD 'Doctors Car' restoration begins
A car will become a cat C or D write-off due to an insurance company deciding that a repair is not commercially viable - often the damage can be very minor especially if the car has a low market value. Providing a repair is carried out to a good standard often there is nothing wrong with these cars ...

Re: 1973 2.4E Restoration
Received my first update from Barry this evening - he's been working on the nearside (technically offside being a left hooker although sticking to the UK terminology): http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z386/darrentompkins/63.jpg This is the nearside lower front wing and a-post not looking good: ht...

Re: 1973 2.4E Restoration
Looks like it was fitted, with the most likely original, cookie cutters which were standard on the E in 1973. And of course forward dated with the big rear wing which was very comon at the time. Ian. I expect you're correct Ian. Did you also notice the ambient temp gauge to the left of the steering...

Re: This might be interesting to watch
I'm only half an hour away so could view the car if anyone would like me to do so on their behalf. I'm no expert on early 911s (still learning) although I have been in the motor trade for 25 years and have bought a few in my time - probably makes me a liability! Absolutely no responsibility taken fo...

I'm hoping to get a response from the German owner - that's if they can make sense of the Google translation! - fingers crossed.
