Re: What is the most powerful air cooled 911 engine produced
I think my best bet is: 964/993 3.6/3.8 on my 50mm PMO with snazzy flat fan and ecu to run the ignition. Fit the fresh current 3.2 into my yellow 911T with full Bosch injection (stock) and sell the 3.2 current strong 3.2 from the 911. Nett cost about £3K for 300 bhp ish. Hi, This is what a 964 3.8 ...

Hi Chris, That's a great project and a fantastic car  My son and I loved your video, we watched it twice straight off! Chris Harris needs to be looking over his shoulder as it was one of the most entertaining yet seen :thumbleft: You're in good hands with Nick at Redtek, last year he rebuilt...

Silverstone WEC 6 Hour Race April 20th 2014
Hi All, A few shots I took from yesterday and a brief synopsis for anyone who didn't make it. Unfortunately it was a freezing cold day after beautiful warm and sunny week. Teams had difficulty with their choices of tyres with intermittent moisture and finally a deluge of biblical proportions in the ...

Re: Overmats - coconut / coir?
Hi, http://www.cocomats.com are highly recommended. Drew sent me plenty of samples and a template to get the exact pattern for a RHD 964 (his 1st). I went for black sisal, the finish is brilliant, I doubt I will ever need to buy another set of overmats  http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x30...

Hi Steve,
You may also want to consider contacting Ed at www.porschedials.com who does stuff for Porsche (Classic) themselves.
He made 2 fantastic bespoke dials for me and people I have passed his details onto have also been very pleased indeed.
Good luck,
Paul

Re: 911 Forum users please post a picture of your car.
Hi, Thanks chaps! I had planned on putting some build details on here but I wasn't sure how well it would go down with all the truly beautiful early cars :blackeye: The build by Nick Fulljames was finished August this year and she's a bit of a hot-rod and my brief was to build a modern classic. She'...

Hi davep, Is there a link to the "help fund"? Here is the link I used through Motorsport magazine, but Octane do one also (think it's same link to the fund). Also there are answers to what happens to the fund etc. http://www.savethehales.com/ If the engine of the car that was over-revved w...

Re: Cayman Launch Surprise
Hi Jason, I didn't know that, I had heard of the replica but sot seen anything in the print, it would explain quite a lot ha! although it's still bad news Mark Hales. I'll read some more. You have me wondering if the above car is the real thing, though Porsche presented it as the no 10 chassis, repu...

Cayman Launch Surprise
Hi, I attended the recent launch of the new Cayman last week but what made my day was the presence of a very famous car, perhaps infamous! David Piper's 917K (K short for Kurtz or short tail) which he had delivered new from the factory in 1969. The 4494cc 12 cylinder boxer engine produces 580hp @ 8,...

Re: Is this too modern for DDK?
The tele-dial wheels are rare for a reason - they only look good on a 928 (without the spoilers).
