For reasons I'd rather not go into for fear of causing a diatribe on panel beaters and paintshops I've had to strip the paint off my 356 and redo some work so I need to repaint it.
The car was originally Ivory with black interior and oatmeal carpet
however the original owner who I am lucky enough to be in contact with had it sprayed silver after buying it (built late in 59 so there were no more Conv ds with silver available due to transition to the roadster model)so it has always been silver with black.
I had always planned and did repaint it silver but now I'm on a rethink ...should I repaint it ivory ...and if I do ...should I change the interior.
The car is matching numbers but my history file has pictures of it right back to 61 with silver ...in fact I have none of it as an ivory car.
What think ye??
Lots of examples of both available at
