genuine panels

Having come from the VW side of things, where most pattern panels are crap & they only way of getting good panels is tracking down genuine NOS panels, are the official 'Porsche' panels available 100% accurate for our early cars?

Some are some aren't. The Porsche outer sills are for a 993 and have extra pressings and holes which would be covered up by wide sill trims. The rear quaters do not fit well at the bottom of the B pillar and need to be picked apart and rewelded. Doors are for later cars as well and need to be modified to be absolutely correct for an early car. The rest are very good.

We are talking genuine Porsche panels here, all available from your local dealer.

Just out of interest what is the cost of genuine early rear quarters and are the 72 style with the oil filler available. Thanks

Yes, you can still get the '72 pattern. I recently bought left and right hand panels from Mittelmotor at €897 each. Carriage expensive at €160 but they do come in a big parcel! Total about £1,381.00
