Hi there looking to service my 911, its a 69 2.2s and wanted to know what spark plugs to buy... I have taken out one of the old plugs that look like they have been in there for some time which are NGK B7EV which apperently have now been superseeded by the NGK B7EVX as told by the very helpful guy in halfords... at a cost of £8.50 a plug...

He also had another listed for my car which was a bosch plug W3DPO at £20 a plug...

just wanted to know what you guys recommend and what you have had the best performance from...i know the guys om pelican talk alot about the Ngk???

thanks in advance Bazz :drunken:

Wow! they're expensive.
I recently bought a set of NGK BP8EVX from my local Auto-discount type place and, at £39 for 6 I thought I was being ripped off!

According to Bruce Anderson, the 69S should take Bosch W3DC's and these are quite a few quid more than the W5DC's that the T spec of the same age takes.

I only have a lightweight anorak on this subject, but think the difference is to do with operating temperatures etc.

One thing is for sure, I remember when I was pricing plugs up, the W3DC's were a lot more money. You should see how much they cost for the Turbo .

If you try Euro Car Parts or German, Swedish & French, I'm sure you'll get a far more reasonable price than from the helpful man at Halfords.

Last time I bought W5DC's they were little more than a quid each from GSF.

Hope this helps.
