It was absolutely soaking wet from 9am until 11:30 when they decided to close the track - game on again at 12:30 and it stayed mostly dry for the remainder of the day. But Cadwell is a stunning track

The SWB is 'fun' on a track - but no match for modern machinery - with a 400mm wheel, 4.5" 165 tyres, suspension in the air and no low end torque, it's perfect for 'researching' the racing line because you've no hope of catching it when it starts to go Still, added another 320 to her original 40,000 miles without a hiccup.

Tim's Targa is seriously quick (that boy has no fear!) and James caught the trackday bug - his 2.4S is *seriously* quick!

So where were all you lot?!!?

No nasties - well, with the exception of the chap with an '05 Maser Coupe (4200GT?) who went sailing into the barrier 30 minutes after the track opened! Must have been at least £15k's of damage

So come on then? Who's for Elvington?

This is sooo unfair . I really, really, really wanted to be there and you guys keep posting bloody pictures of it . You even got to use the mountain, something I didn't get when I went there.

Please, please, please tell me there will be another chance to go there at such a good rate.

James and I had a good chat with Nigel from Fast Club and explained the DDK is growing - he was keen to help - I have to say, the day was excellently organised and very 'social'.

I think you are all very brave driving Cadwell in that weather as it has some very uncompromising barriers.

I was at Snetterton Friday and the weather was appalling in the morning. A number of incidents including a chap who rolled his Scoobie squashing the roof (they parked the wreck at the end of the pit lane just as a reminder to everyone as you joined the track).

I have one friend who broke his back there (bike) and another who wrote off his superlight.

I did one lap of Cadwell in the wet in my VR6 powered MK2 Golf and then parked up and waited for it to dry out!!! Deeply frightening, like being on a skating rink in teflon shoes.

what a superb day I had a wonderful time & cannot praise 'fast club' , the organisers enough.

My car ran really well, if only the driver was able to match the car . Really enjoyed my 'tuition laps' too

Cadwell, what can I say except I'm going back. Who needs teh Nurburgring
