Early 911 LHD wiper mechanism - spares or repair

Post by yoda »

I have a LHD early 911 wiper mechanism with a broken linkage. Just came out of my car as I happened to have a spare. Everything worked prior to removal apart from the linkage which had been previously welded (and lasted 10 years!). I think the part number is 90162801601 and fits 71-73 LHD cars (but can’t see this on the wiper anywhere).

Seemed a shame to bin it in case anyone can use it. Free to anyone who wants it, a few quid in the fundraiser would be nice if you are able to make use of it.

I can post or you can pick up from London (W4).

Thanks

Yes please yes please, I have this lot in my 356, I had to drill new spindle holes and weld up the old ones to get it fitted right, but the motor started going stupid on me on a very wet night. I have had it running since after checking switches, contacts etc but I reckon there is some loose stuff in the motor so I would lurrve your one. I shall PM you with further info.

Hi Dave

I suggested it to Graham and tried to contact him to confirm but didn’t get a reply. If you are there tomorrow and happy to pass it on, will bring it.

See you then.
