Where can i get hold of a generic paint code that i can quote to a non-Porsche paint shop to repaint my car in its original colour ?

im in the same boat as you wanted to apint my 12 in the original colour but no one knows about the codes :cry:
COMPUTER GAMES DONT AFFECT KIDS,I MEAN IF PACMAN AFFECTED MY GENERATION AS KIDS, WE WOULD HAVE ALL BE RUNNING AROUND IN THE DARK LISTENING TO REPETITIVE MUSIC MUNCHING PILLS

Any decent modern paintshop should be able to mix the correct colour from Porsche's original paint codes - in your case:

1510 (paint number)
L 60 E (paint code)

post the year and colour and we will supply the code. The code should be on a plate on the left door hinge post but may have been taken off at some time and may not match the colour of the car if it has been resprayed

My car has had a repaint in white it was a very odd blue, the paint code is missing. How can I find out it's paint code?

Nigel, do you mean the original (blue) paint code or the one for the current (white) colour?

You can find out the original paint colour from the 'Original Specification' sheets supplied by Porsche Cars for the princely sum of ~ £75 (may be more now!)...
