Restoring surface finish on plastic headlamps, Boxster

My 2009 87K mile Boxster 's headlamps are showing their age and slightly opaque surface, nowhere near MoT failure, but not good enough!
Asking here for advice on a good kit sold to use on these plastic lights.
TIA

Patience. Lots of 3000 grit and hot soapy water. More patience. Then a decent clear lacquer. Are they easily pop-outtable like a 986/987's headlamps?
Fair warning, though; once you've done it, you'll need to keep on top of it every few years.

Maybe of interest:
After reading an AutoExpress review of lens cleaners I thought I would try the Armor All restoring wipes(!).
Arrived yesterday and followed the instructions and the improvement is really impressive, look like new from 3 feet away.
Just £12 off ebay, took 30 mins total time.
