Hi, does anyone have suggestions for an alternative spark plug socket wrench than the official one? Something quick, easy and cheaper to get hold of?
The official one being this: https://www.design911.co.uk/p/spark-plu ... 914---964/

Many thanks,

Scott.

I have one of these. I like the fact that you can use it with 3/8" sq drive and it has the knurled end for hand turning.

From memory though it wasn't much cheaper than the Design911 offering.

The Hazet is £42 via Amazon.
I paid under a tenner when Amazon had it on discount years ago.

Worth the money imho, give that bit of wriggle needed.
I paid £3 for mine at an early 90's Husborne Crawley autojumble!

Or a normal spark plug socket taped to two 1/2” drive UJs. Works a treat.
Just need to make sure the parts are secured to each other tomorrow avoid embarrassing socket loss :)

Thank you all, looks like the The Hazet is the way to go! Appreciate that Sladey. The car has sat (garaged) for a couple of months as I've been away, started up but then I stalled it, after that it didn't want to fire up, so thinking I best check the plugs, they have not been changed for a very long time.

Autodoc might be a little cheaper if you have the app. They do some Hazet stuff, worth a check, it will be slower delivery though.

Auto doc is cheapest but £8.45 delivery to the uk so Amazon is probably the better option?
