Does anyone have one of these front tow eyes for an early 911, OR, one of the pressed covers that protect the front bush housing on the A arm?
Could do with a rear tow mount too that fits to the rear engine cross member center section. This would be an after market part.

Saw that myself, but was looking for one far cheaper...

It is only needed for one hillclimb event this year, need a tow eye for the front and rear of the car in case I fall off.
Most fit straps to something 'solid' but tricky on an early 911 to do.

I think I will make them as the event is 5 months away, unless someone des have one. The loop on the one I pictured shows a lot of road scraping damage in a critical area, shows how much they hang under the car, so removed after the event.

Demon Tweeks sell some Sparco tow eyes for under £20 that you may be able to adapt Graham.

Or do this, heat the stock loop and bend it over to the side... Simple.

I only need one to make the 911 I have comply to motorsport regulations. The eye for a marshal to hook to must be accessible if the car needs a tow.
The loop does not meet that, the motorsport ones I've found doo of course, but are expensive for what they are.
I will be making my own for the front.

The rear is apart I hope to get from Stuttgart Classica which is primarily a jacking point with a tow loop that can be added.

All up this could be a £150 action for one event, bit of an outlay for 1 event!

I have the rear jacking point and tow eye that you describe Graham, it is very good. I bought the extended eye one as it was cheaper and I remove it after the event!

They appear to be £87 + vat from D911 Graham and in stock!

Rear mount is cheaper from the source, Stuttgart Classica.

The rear mount is too complicated to make accuratly and would cost more to buy the materials etc to fabricate. It is mostly 5mm plate.

For 30 years I've jacked the rear up by trolley jack and a block of wood under the engine cross beam, dented silencers etc make the need for one now1

They are £87 + vat for both against £135 + vat I think

They aren't in great condition - the eyelets where both rounded over by the previous owner (a track racer) plus I think he added some action scapes too and probably surface rust now from storage, but if you can use them you can have them!

I'll send you some photos when I'm back home if you're interested.

Hello Ban, thank you for your response.
The part shown will hang under the nose of the car and hit many obstacles, hence people bending the 'loop/eye' over for clearance.
I will be only interested in the part if very cheap, about £30, as all i need is he pressing part that picks up the 3 mounting bolts.
I would cut the loop off and weld a round bar loop to the pressing to just tuck under the front spoiler lip.

If this were acceptable then I'm happy. Just want to be open up front.
